Dark corners are crooked crannies and contorted curves. They are hidden holdouts and hurried hideouts. Clandestine places where we park pursuits, people, and purposes in our lives we’d rather God not be aware of. Pieces of our lives stashed away so God can’t see. Except that we have a God unlike any other. He doesn’t condemn our dark corners. He wants to liberate us from them.

Let God secure your dark corners.
Dark corners groom pockets of transgressions. Short-term, corners are convenient crevices of sin tucked away. Long-term, corners clip out the light and keep us in bondage. Over time, they overtake places of light, outstrip the goodness God’s light brings, and overwhelm the believer. God’s solution: turn your dark corners over to Him. God’s grace forgives and gives us clarity to clear out these spaces of camouflaged and concealed sin.
Though we are overwhelmed by our sins, You forgive them all. —Psalm 65:3
We hide what we don’t want anyone to know. In addition to sin, our insecurities and inadequacies also find refuge in dark corners. When God secures our dark corners, He doesn’t just enter one area. He sweeps the entire house. Complete recovery of every single corner and room in your life.

Let God slay your dark corners.
Dark corners are footholds where Satan has gained control. Satan thrives in darkness. Sin flourishes in darkness. But Light exposes schemes of Satan and the sins that have bloom unfettered. Only Light can end Satan’s grip and sin’s garden. Let God’s Light slay your dark corners. This altercation is not with worldly weapons, but with divine instruments because our adversary is birth not from this world.
For we are not fighting against flesh and blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world. (Ephesians 6:12)
Supernatural battles occur in covert crevices away from the light. Some of us have experienced corners conquered at the hands of the enemy. A light corner turned to the dark side. But God can regain your loss, take back real estate that the enemy has encroached, and kick sin out. In Christ, our life consists of more than the sum of our conquered corners. In Christ, Jesus on the cross conquers every single dark corner that has ever fought its way into our lives.

God sets us free from dark corners.
Dark spaces are very alive, actively holding us back. God however, desires for us to thrive in freedom and drive forward. Live in emancipation, not entangled in the tendrils of your dark corners. God wants to set you free.
No more lurking in the shadows. Live your whole life in the radiance that comes from fellowship and relationship with Jesus. Jesus is the Light that can outshine darkness and overwhelm Satan and sin. Let His Real Truth be the everlasting freedom and eternal floodlamp that emancipates you from and illuminates all your dark corners.
