🌿BREATHE TRUTH🌿
“Roll the stone aside,” Jesus told them. Martha, the dead man’s sister, protested, “Lord, he has been dead for three days….Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?” So they rolled the stone aside. —John 11:39-41
🌿LIVE THE REAL TRUTH🌿
The words seem strange and shocking to Martha. Roll the stone? The odor will be overwhelming. Other people might think we are insane. We are others and outside world-oriented. But Jesus is not. If we want Jesus to rewrite our story, we are going to have to think outside the box, or rather, outside the tomb. God’s glory will not be confined in a container.

We see the front of the problem, the stone and door. Jesus sees beyond the problem, the contents.
We see the weight of moving the stone. Jesus sees the lighting of a load.
We see the temporal. Jesus sees the eternal.
We have limited vision of the eternal, and therefore, we place limited value on what the eternal can do.
Stop limiting God. Think outside the tomb. Inside the tomb, life ceases. Outside the tomb, limitless avenues for life exist. And maybe a miracle or two.

Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?” So they rolled the stone aside. —John 11:39-41
Martha initially disagrees with Jesus. But who she is also in conflict with is the stone. She can’t get past the idea that any good comes from repositioning it. Heard of the phrase, “talk to the hand?” Martha is experiencing the “talk to the tomb” syndrome.

But Martha and Mary heed Jesus’ wisdom. Roll the stone and you will see God’s glory. They believe without knowing what the end result will be. This is faith with blindfolds. Jesus’ words are enough. Jesus is enough for them. If we make Jesus enough, we stop doubting God’s will.
Roll the stone aside. What Jesus is really communicating is this: Trust Me. This isn’t something you understand or comprehend right now. But if you lay down your will, you will find mine.
Trust Me with your uncertainties.
Trust Me with your insecurities.
Trust Me with your difficulties.
Trust Me with your calamities.

When Jesus tells us to open our tomb, He wants to free something in our lives. Let go of your fear so Jesus can set what’s inside of your tomb free. Jesus desires to liberate and emancipate so your story can be rewritten.
The day the stone is rolled aside, their brother Lazarus arises from the dead. Not only is Lazarus’ story rewritten, but so is Martha and Mary’s. Story writing is contagious. Willing witnesses see miracles too. Let the Real Truth rewrite your story when you roll away your stone. You won’t know what the Real Truth will reveal to you unless you trust Him and think outside the tomb.
