Listen as Wisdom calls out! Hear as understanding raises her voice! On the hilltop along the road, she takes her stand at the crossroads. By the gates at the entrance to the town, on the roads leading in, she cries aloud, ‘I call to you, to all of you!’ ” —Proverbs 8:1-3
🌿LIVE THE REAL TRUTH🌿
Friends in our lives we sometimes forget are friends. They recall our past that we don’t want to remember. They recline in our present which we aren’t certain if they should be there. They relocate our future when we didn’t expect to move. Same lone friend who wears different hats. Her name is Wisdom.
A most experienced friend. Wisdom has a head chock full of gray hairs. Time ages us and so we dye our hair to hide the silvery wisps. But Wisdom takes pride in her gray silhouettes. Gray hairs are a badge of courage. She’s survived this long for good reasons and wants everyone to know it.
A most misunderstood friend. Wisdom is so complicated even her sibling, Foolishness, doesn’t comprehend her. She makes things harder than they need to be, because life and love is harder than we want to admit it is. She doesn’t skip the long way because shortcuts often end up regrettably well, longer.
A most lonely friend. The road she chooses isn’t a people pleaser because Wisdom doesn’t traverse where the rest of the crowds go. The innocent and ignorant, naive and nice gets trampled. But Wisdom avoids the mob and doesn’t cave in to peer pressure. Her recommendation: Take the road less traveled because you can see much, much further (since your way isn’t being blocked.)

Of all the friends you will have, Wisdom possesses qualities that are especially unique and unusual.
Wisdom specializes in loyalty. Wisdom will stand by you no matter what the circumstances or consequences are.
Wisdom specializes in listening. Wisdom will listen to your problems and and then list ways to help you.
Wisdom specializes in losing. Wisdom will lose your happiness because it will tell you things you don’t want to hear.
Wisdom specializes in loving. Wisdom will love the discernment of God more than the lies of the world.
Appreciate the company in Wisdom. She will loyally listen to the pain of your losses as you choose God over lesser things. If you stick with Wisdom you will lose people, places, and parts of you that needed losing, but you will gain something greater.
The world isn’t interested in wisdom, but God is. God values Wisdom and if you value Wisdom, she will stay with you and steer you in the right direction. Wisdom is the lifelong friend of the Real Truth. Make Wisdom your lifelong friend too.
