🌿LIVE THE REAL TRUTH🌿
God’s words fill us easily with joy and delight when our life is on a smooth path. But what happens when the terrain gets tougher and the road gets rougher? When life changes not for the better?
One of the youth volunteer kids in my class shared his testimony with us this week during Vacation Bible School. He seems like any typical middle school student except for one thing. His father is in prison. For the equivalent of life. His father has been in prison now for one year.
Despite what has happened in his life, this youth attends church with his relatives and serves at VBS. If you see him interact with the third graders, you would have no idea the bumps and boulders scattered across his life.
Our family serves in VBS as a family. Our older kids volunteer with me in their younger sibling’s VBS class. This youth volunteer’s testimony was tremendous for my older children to hear. They’ve been encouraged to serve their entire life. A picture paints a 1000 words. The testimony they heard was akin to that 1000 word picture.
No matter what your circumstances are, you can serve.
You can show Jesus to others because Jesus has shown Himself to you.
You can shine Jesus into others because Jesus has shined His light into you.
You can share Jesus with others because someone shared Jesus with you.

God doesn’t ask us to give what we don’t have. We may not think we have an abundance of ability or aptitude, talent or technique of putting a message about Jesus together. But what God desires of us more than anything is to simply give ourselves.
Make yourself accessible with open windows for others to see Jesus.
Make yourself available with open doors for others to talk about Jesus.
Make yourself approachable with open fences for others to visit about Jesus.
Give other people a chance to reach you. God can do the rest. Your message is not merely a salvation invitation, it’s a lifestyle manifestation. Listen intently, live differently, love completely. When people see Jesus in small to big things in your life, they will see Jesus’ message imprinted. You are God’s 1000 word picture.

God’s words gives us joy and delight unconditionally. It’s not conditional based on our emotion, environment, or experience. Take God’s words gifted to you and extend that gift to others. Your message is your life anchored in God’s truth. Show, shine, and share the Real Truth with others so that even when their journey of life changes course, they know that Jesus doesn’t change.
