Saul Before and After Part II

🌿BREATHE TRUTH 🌿

Saul stayed with the believers in Damascus for a few days.  And immediately he began preaching about Jesus in the synagogues, saying, “He is indeed the Son of God!”  —Acts 9:19-20

Saul’s preaching became more and more powerful, and the Jews in Damascus couldn’t refute his proofs that Jesus was indeed the Messiah.  —Acts 9:21

🌿BELIEVE TRUTH🌿

Saul of Tarsus, son of a Pharisee, a Pharisee himself, and educated under the teachings of one of the most well-known Pharisee, Gemalial.  While traveling to Damascus to capture Christian believers there, Saul experiences a powerful confrontation with Jesus.

The confrontation results in the clarification of who Jesus is and releases Saul from his spiritual blindness.

When clarity opens a door, you can walk through or walk away.  Saul chooses to enter.  He is given a new name, Paul, to reflect the new man, and his journey of faith is radically altered forever.  Clarification launchpads Paul to Clearance.

Clearance.

Once the scales fall off Paul’s eyes, not only can he see, but he is to be filled with the Holy Spirit.  Swiftly, the conviction that Jesus is the Messiah grips Paul and compels him to begin preaching about Jesus immediately.  Paul rises up to meet God’s will for his life:  “Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel.”  (Acts 9:15)

The abc definitions of Clearance:  the authorization, blessing, or consent to proceed.

Clarification leads to a spiritual recognition of who Christ is and a spiritual resolve of our need for Him which beckons us to the door of a life vibrantly following Jesus.

Clearance, in the power of the Holy Spirit, lifts us up and takes us higher and deeper in the pursuit of God than we could endeavor on our own strength and stamina.

🍃

The aircraft that receives permission to take off.  The bird who gauges how much room it has to embark.  Official clearance gives the aircraft and the bird permission to fly off.

Similarly, God’s clearance provides us the freedom and resources to leave the past before we knew Jesus and soar to new heights of faith and following Christ.

Leave the ground, lose the baggage.  Rip open the clouds, rise above the horizon.  Find daily hope, focus on a new future.

🍃🍃🍃

God’s purpose in confrontation is not to start a street fight, but a spiritual cleansing and spiritual clarification.

Once the scales have been removed from your eyes, you will see better, think better, and believe better.  Better vision and view to assess the clearing ahead.  Once you have passed the confrontation, clarification, and clearance, the sky is limitless.

Your faith will soar like eagles.  When you are faint, the Father will be faithful.

Wave away the things of your past that weighed you down.  Ready your wings.  Press down on the go button.  Prepare for lift-off, and rise high on the clearance of the Holy Spirit with the Real Truth by your side.
