Traps That Entice Part II

🌿BREATHE TRUTH🌿

“If a bird sees a trap being set, it knows to fly away.”  —Proverbs 1:17

🌿BELIEVE TRUTH🌿

Birds are small creatures with few means to defend itself.  When it faces a predator or views a trap, the best decision it can make is to flee.  When we encounter Satan or perceive his trap, it is best if we leave.  No goodness results from our involvement  or interaction with Satan.

Do not partake in an engagement with the enemy.

Engagements allow the enemy to set up an enticement that will lead to entanglement.

Engagement.  Enticement.  Entanglement.  The consequence of immersion in these traps is sin.

Entanglement.

Sin likes company.  Sin like companionships.  The more the merrier and a party that brings more to join in the sin, even better.

This is Satan’s to-do list.  If you sin.  Check.  If your family sins with you.  Check.  If your friends sin with you.  Check.

The enemy’s objectives are clear.  Entangle the target and those close to the target.  Tempt the target to sin and encourage the target to invite their loved ones to sin as well.  You and your circle are the target.

🍃

If the enemy dangles a bait in front of you, you may not bite.  But if someone you know gives you the lure, you might get hooked.  We lower our walls  when someone familiar faces  introduces sin to us instead of  a stranger.

When Eve offers Adam the forbidden fruit, he trusts Eve and takes it.  Sin takes less effort and thought when someone we trust and know is already partaking in it.

She (Eve) also gave some (fruit) to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.  —Genesis 3:6

🍃🍃🍃

When we open a door to engagement with the enemy and give him opportunities of enticement, he will take advantage of this chance to lead you and your loved ones to entanglement.

If you see the enemy coming for you and the trap in front of you, run away as quickly as possible and as far away as plausible.  Don’t give Satan a foothold.

Be like the bird who viewed the trap and recognized it for what it truly was:  danger and evil.  Flee like the bird fast and far to the Real Truth.
