God the Lion Roar

🌿Breathe Truth🌿

Then a mighty roar rose from the crowd, and with one voice they shouted, “Kill him, and release Barabbas to us! —Luke 23:28

For someday the people will follow me.  I, The Lord, will roar like a lion. And when I roar, the people will return trembling from the west.  —Hosea 11:10

🌿Believe Truth🌿

God roars like a lion.  His people know his voice and they follow him.  In majesty and love, God compassionately roars like a parent and father.

Loud enough for his children to hear.  Strong enough to send a message of fear to his enemies.  Fierce enough to mark his territory.  Bold enough to declare his lordship. God the Lion Roars.

But there is another roar that challenges the roar of God.  It is the roar of the world.  That mighty roar of the crowd that callously shouted” Kill Jesus” and “Crucify Jesus.”

God the Lion Roar versus the world roar.

This battle is fought in the spiritual realm, not in the physical arena where we can see flesh and blood.  Our enemy, Satan, carefully planned out Jesus’ murder to stop Jesus’ ministry and to show the world the power he possessed.

The arrest to flaunt Satan’s authority and Jesus’ incapacitation.  The beating to manifest Satan’s strength and Jesus’ agony.  The hanging to proclaim Satan’s victory and Jesus’ defeat.

Satan pridefully mistakens Jesus’ surrender on the cross for weakness.  Through the entire procedure of Jesus’ arrest, flogging, and crucifixion, Satan falsely believed the Lion was roaring no more. Or was He?

My power is made perfect in weakness.  —2 Corinthians 12:9

What Satan didn’t know is that in weakness, God’s power is made perfect and divine.  The greatest paradox of Christian theology.  Weakness of Christ on the cross destroyed death, and the sin and separation that had prevented the created from knowing the Creator.

In truth, the Lion was roaring the whole time of Jesus’ arrest, beating, and crucifixion.  Three days inside the tomb, Jesus was quietly roaring.  Three days later, when Jesus rose, the Lion roared His loudest.

Today, on Resurrection Day, the Lion is roaring louder and stronger than ever.

Loud enough for His children to hear, the Lion roars.  Strong enough for Satan to tremble, the Lion roars.  Fierce enough to fight for those still wandering and lost, the Lion roars.  Bold enough to reclaim what territory the enemy has taken from His children, the Lion roars.

🍃🍃🍃

Today, on Resurrection Day, the Lion is roaring for you and for your family.  Listen to His roar.  His roar is louder than any situation the enemy has laid out for you.

Make God’s roar big.  Make it bigger than the circumstance you are in.  Make the enemy’s roar small.  Make it smaller and so inconsequential, that your place in its audience is gone.  You don’t have to be deceived to listen to the enemy’s roar anymore.

Make God’s roar the loudest, strongest, fiercest, and most bold roar you hear in your life.

On this Resurrection Day, hear the Lion roar the Real Truth over you.
