🌿Breathe Truth🌿
How can a young person stay pure? By obeying Your word. I have tried hard to find you—don’t let me wander from your commands.
I have hidden Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You. —Psalm 119:9-11
🌿Breath Truth🌿
Sin is a personal setback, not a prison sentence. Except when sin becomes a self-propagating, systematic way of responding and reacting to the flesh.
Purity is maintained by obeying God’s word. But purity can be obtained through these three means.
🍃🍃🍃
Choose.
We choose a deliberate faith. We choose a deliberate purity. No accidents come about from obtaining purity. We don’t accidentally become pure. We don’t accidentally find ourselves making choices that lead to purity. Purity is not a game of chance, a roll of the dice, a multiple change of wardrobe during the day.
Purity is best executed with preparation ahead. To resolve to cling to God’s Word no matter the shape or form temptation morphs. The want of purity has to override the want to feel or express on the level of the flesh.
🍃🍃🍃
Commit.
We commit to one faith. We commit to one goal of purity. We are distance racers towards the finish line of purity. We begin each day in the morning and endeavor to cross the finish line whole. The world will attempt to break us down into pieces. We resolve to asking God to be the glue that holds our commitment to Him, to His Word, to staying pure.
A supernatural glue that is elastic and eternal. Elastic to flex when temptation arises and we need to be reigned in. Eternal to give a perspective that our commitment to purity has consequences beyond this side of heaven.
🍃🍃🍃
Close Doors.
Discerning when to open doors and when to close them often determines the length of our struggle with purity and its outcome. Once a relationship, entity, or desire enters in that doesn’t belong and shouldn’t be in your home, you set yourself up for a visitor you won’t be able to extricate without pain. We implicate ourselves by association and the only solution is disassociation. Uninvited guests bring in uninvited intentions, motivations, and interactions that spiral to usurp the owner’s (your) control of their own lives.
To keep what’s wandering out there from coming in. To prevent you from leaving your home and going places a believer shouldn’t. Lock your house. Secure the parameters. Put in an alarm system. Bolt the door firmly. Better to be cautious and even seemingly rude, than to regret later the chaos, confusion, and the cancer that grows from squatters who refuse to leave.
🍃🍃🍃
When a decision of purity knocks on your door, God’s words guide and guard us to answer it or not, to open our door or not, to engage or not. Hide God’s words in your heart so that You will know what to do and how to handle the situation.

Buy the truth and do not sell it—wisdom, instruction and insight as well. —Proverbs 23:23
Buying truth requires a cost. Worthwhile things generally do. Nothing of value in life comes without a payment.
As we approach Easter, be reminded that Jesus already paid the cost for truth in your life. Through His life, death, and resurrection. You can acquire truth to help you choose, commit, and close doors to win your battle for purity in your life.
🍃🍃🍃
Truth is the currency of a pure life in Jesus. Truth paves the way for us to know when to answer the doorbell and when to hunker down.
Indeed, a process exists to obtaining truth so we can maintain purity.
🍃🍃🍃
A Jesus process.
Choose the Jesus process. Commit to the Jesus process. Close doors on things that hinder the Jesus process.
Trust the Jesus process. Trust that truth and God’s Word will help you stay pure in the Real Truth.
