Ministry For God

🌿Breathe Truth🌿

Potiphar was furious when he heard his wife’s story about how Joseph treated her.  So he took Joseph and threw him into prison.”  —Genesis 39:19

🌿Believe Truth🌿

Have you ever found yourself in the midst of people who treat others ugly and pervert truth?

Joseph did.

🍃🍃🍃

He lived with brothers who hated him and then sold him as a slave.  They equate someone’s life to a slave.   They lied to their father to cover their sale of Joseph to foreign traders.  Perversion of Truth.

He endured two years of prison at the hands of a lustful woman who cared nothing for moral values.  She equated someone’s life as inconsequential.  She lied to her husband to ensure Joseph’s prison sentence.  Perversion of Truth.

🍃🍃🍃

Yet in prison, under the worst possible conditions and most undesirable circumstances, Joseph started a prison ministry.

He didn’t have the right ministry supplies, tracks, Bibles, resources.  He was simply a young man with authentic desires to serve others day after day, week after week, month after month.

Serving God not in a comfortable, air-conditioned, clean church setting.  But in a foreign, incarcerated desert temperature environment that was dark, dirty, and dungeon-like.

🍃🍃🍃

Joseph served God by serving his fellow prisoners in need.  Not for self gain or social media.  But for the love of God.

From the moment he was thrown into the cistern well, then sold to a caravan of Midianite  traders, to his work as a slave in Potiphar’s household, to unjust false accusations that led to his imprisonment.

God was with him.  Joseph’s response to God’s provision and love:  to serve others.  What God gave to Joseph.  He shared with others.

And the Lord was with Joseph in the prison and showed him His faithful love.” —Genesis 39:21

Wherever God has placed you, regardless of how others treat you or how truth is perverted by others.  You can rise above your circumstances and serve God.

You can reach out and minister in the Real Truth.
