🌿Breathe Truth🌿
He (Peter) met a man named Aeneas, who had been paralyzed and bedridden for eight years.
Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you! Get up, and roll up your sleeping mat! And he was healed instantly.
Then the whole population of Lydda and Sharon saw Aenas walking around, and they turned to the Lord.” —Acts 9:33-35
🌿Believe Truth🌿
In the King James Version of the Bible, we see this passage with a different set of lenses.
And Peter said unto him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole; arise, and make thy bed.” And he rose immediately.
Pieces of our lives that make us incomplete.
For Aeneas, it was paralysis and a physical hindrance that kept him incapacitated. His whole world consisted of that sleeping mat and his whole world view was lain down from a helpless posture.
A lot of incompleteness composed his life.

Peter, directed, by the power of the Holy Spirit, changes the matrices of Aeneas’ incompleteness.
- Aeneas is healed in the name of Jesus Christ. Completeness and wholeness can only come from God and emanate from the power of Jesus Christ. No other name and no other god.
- Aeneas arises. Get up from the circumstances that hold you in bondage. Literally, leave it down there where it belongs. Stand up. That’s not your physical or spiritual posture anymore.
- Aenaes makes his bed. Closure. That bed mat is for sleeping, not for living in. It serves a different function now. A place to recline and rest at night or when tired. But that bed is not where new life is lived. Time to move on. Jesus has better things for you.

The other citizens of Aenaes’ community saw what transpired in his life. That the power of Jesus Christ changed his life.
When they see Aenaes walking and living a miracle life. They turn to the Lord and surrender their lives to Him as well. Aeneas’ miracle became a powerful testimony that drew others to Jesus.
How we live our lives. How we respond to the blessing and grace of Jesus Christ in our lives changes how people perceive faith in Christ. Hallelujah! Praise God!
