🌿BREATHE TRUTH🌿
Meanwhile, the disciples were in trouble far away from land, for a strong wind had risen, and they were fighting heavy waves. About three o’clock in the morning, Jesus came towards them, walking on the water.
When the disciples saw Him walking on the water, they were terrified. In fear, they cried out, “Its a ghost!”
🌿LIVE THE REAL TRUTH🌿
When our fears rise higher than our faith. When the familiarity falls to the foreign. When our feelings feed into our fright. Our sight of the savior is sidetracked. Our source of security feels severed. Our sense of safety sinks.
•The result: The disciples mistaken Jesus for a ghost.
•The reason: Their fear compels them to focus on the flesh.
•The reality: The enemy will find a foothold on what our flesh fixates on and our fears fall prey to.
•The resolution: Re-route your fears.
Fix your heart, fortify your hope, and find your help in Jesus, the protector and perfecter of faith in storms. Jesus isn’t waiting for you to be brave and trust in yourself to make it through the storm. He’s wanting you to pace your faith and place your trust in Him inside the storm. Re-direct your fears to Him.

Two battlefields.
Outside, the disciples’ confidence is crashing: “Friends, this is is too much for us!” Inside, their confusion is calling, “Jesus, where are you?”
In our endeavor, our flesh struggles to withstand the double assault Satan fashions against us. Two battlefields are at stake. The disciples are facing the war of the exterior, the weather— the wind and the waves. But they are also fighting a war of the interior, the worry—that Jesus won’t come through.
When our worry wears us out, we start to wearily wonder: Has He forgotten or forsaken us?

Two fronts.
Be still and know that Jesus is coming. In this confrontation, He comes to overcome two fronts. The spiritual barrier to rescue us from the enemy’s scheme (fear). Be so fearful you lose your focus on God. The physical barrier to release us from the enemy’s strategy (fall). Fall away from God, fall further, fall down, fall apart.
Jesus comes walking on the waves. He comes miraculously for the disciples. He comes marvelously for you. A body of water does not stop Jesus from coming after the disciples. When fears rise higher, nothing is going to stop Jesus from coming through for you either.

No rising water, wind, or waves can
Ever stop God’s plan.
Every storm is under His command
In the darkness, sea, and land.
When fears rise higher then
Faith can withstand
My life is still in His hand.
