🌿LIVE THE REAL TRUTH🌿
Summer is a time of water sports to out-drench the morning sun, watermelons to sweeten picnics in the afternoon, and warm starry nights to nestle under the moonlight. Flowers are in full bloom. Vegetables are falling over the stems. Trees are froth with fruit. But something else is finding its way in pockets unexpected and places unwanted: weeds.
No one clamors for weeds. They’re undesirable and unattractive. They detract from the beauty of the scenery and disturb the balance of the flora fauna surrounding.

Weeds in the physical world are simple irritants, but weeds in the spiritual realm are sinister impediments with far greater destructive intentions:
Weeds are a setback to progress.
Weeds are a stumbling block to perseverance.
Weeds are a snag to passage.

Weeds function counter to our relationship with God. They don’t go with the flow. They block the Rock.
Indeed, the Christian life involves movement. We grip the steering wheel, gas the pedal, gain ground, go full speed. We press on, push forward, proceed ahead, progress further. In Christ. For Christ. Because of Christ.
But weeds hinder all this. They do more than ugly the landscape of our spiritual life. They sabotage God’s will in our lives.
Spiritual weeds undermine growth.
Spiritual weeds unravel goals of maturation.
Spiritual weeds undo gathering of fruits.
Once weeds dig down and develop deep roots, their removal is diehard difficult. If spiritual weeds are not pruned from our spiritual garden, we will struggle to reach our full potential in Christ.

Apostle Paul has an antidote for this problem.
Take out, throw away, and toss far. Discard all weeds that prevent you from gaining and obtaining Christ. Jettison weeds like you do garbage.
Weeds that discourage.
Weeds that dangle sin.
Weeds that distance you from God.
Weeds that dance with your emotions.

Weeds that walk all over you through manipulation.
Weeds that weaken your will through temptation.
Weeds that withhold joy through depression.
Weeds that wither your spirit through condemnation.

Weeds choke out all the goodness in your garden of faith. They strangle nearby life and stymie relationships. Rid yourself of them. Release their hold on your spiritual life.
If left to run rampant, they will multiply and minimize God’s work in your life.
God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to help you remove weeds that thrive to wreck your life. His death and resurrection destroys any power those weeds claim to possess ownership over you.
Long-time and long-term weed residents leave an inhospitable legacy for those who bloom after us. Don’t waste your children’s future and your everyday life on weeds that are inferior to the Real Truth.
