🌿BREATHE TRUTH🌿
“Please, sir,” the woman said, “give me this water! Then I’ll never be thirsty again, and I won’t have to come here to get water.”
“Go and get your husband,”Jesus told her.
“I don’t have a husband,” the woman replied. —John 4:13-17
🌿LIVE THE REAL TRUTH🌿
Thirst into survival truth.
Survival in the real world requires a gamut of equipment and necessities. Material entities to meet the basic needs of life and sustenance. One of these requirements is water. Every day, this woman walks a distance outside of the city to fetch enough water to live on.
But survival in the spiritual world is another matter. The parameters, perimeters, and presenters change.
The woman has been in and out of relationships. She’s been with men who don’t respect her physical body, let alone her eternal soul. She knows what the villagers think of her and that’s why she’s taking the water trek at noon, when the sun is the hottest and the crowds are nonexistent. Scorching sun, but no scorching people. She’s accepted the ideology and identity the enemy has spoken to her heart. You’re not worthy to be treated better. Your worth is from these men. This is the survival equipment she’s been carrying around her life.
But the survival equipment of this secular world is not going to carry you through the highways and byways of the heavenly terrain. Nor will it lead you to victory if you are in divine warfare either. Unbeknown to this woman, she’s been been fighting a spiritual battle that’s she’s been losing in 6 relationships. Jesus knows this. And that’s why He came for this woman at the well.
She comes to the well for water. She thirsts for the temporal. Jesus is offering her something far greater. Thirst into survival truth.
Beloved, you cannot keep on going the direction you’re heading. You need help where you’re going, a hold to keep you protected, and a healing to restore what you’ve lost to the enemy.
Jesus comes for her. Jesus comes for you. To satisfy your thirst with His salvational truth and serve you His survival truth. To replace the survival equipment you’ve been lugging around for a much worthier one.
