The walls of Jerusalem are under rebuilding. A Herculean physical task and spiritual undertaking.
The physical build up was executed through strong organizational planning and stamina. The spiritual build up through a consummate dependence on God as their Master Builder and Leader and a complete disregard for the threats of the enemy.

Renember, O my God, all the evil things that Tobiah and Sanballat have done. And remember…all the (fake) prophets who have tried to intimidate me. (Nehemiah 6:14)
Sometimes, in our building, rebuilding, renovation in our lives, opposition manifests itself. It appear with evil and ungodly intentions to threaten and assault us, as Nehemiah experienced first hand.
Best thing to do. Hand your enemies over to God. Let God fight His battle in the spiritual realm. Evil is conquered not through the flesh, but the Spirit.

We work with what we have. We use our hands to complete the work God calls us. We hand to God what our hands can’t accomplish.
First hands: Nehemiah asks God to strengthen his hands and the hands of his fellow countrymen in the task set before them of building the wall of Jerusalem.
Second hands: Nehemiah hands over the opposition to God. He cries out for God to remember who the enemies of God’s people are and to deal with them accordingly. Not by his power, but God’s.

In your journey of life, opposition arises to stop and force a standstill on any progress you are making to build and better your life. But your opposition isn’t greater than your God. Ask God to unleash all the resources and power available to overcome your enemies, seen and unseen.

God, strengthen our hands to complete the work you desire of us and how we can serve and glorify you first. We leave the rest up to You.
We rest in the Real Truth that You are our Master Builder.
