“Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow The Lord will do amazing things among you.”
In Joshua 3, Israel’s new leader, Joshua, is preparing his people to cross the Jordan River and conquer Jericho.
Joshua understood the most basic foundation of preparation for a spiritual battle. Prayer and surrendering one’s heart, mind, and expectations entirely to God.
Before the Israelites could be effective for The Lord, their hearts must be right with God. And completely devoted to Him. Spiritual Alignment. Precedes Spiritual Warfare.
Beloved, the battle is The Lord’s. But we must give ourselves to Jesus before we set out to face the enemy. Lay down your worries, concerns, and fears at His feet. Trust. Trust some more. And then trust even more. Keep trusting. You can never trust too much.
Remember, your victory lies beyond physical realms or earthly prowess.
Situate your battle plans within the foothold of God’s truth. Align your flesh, weaknesses, insecurities, and uncertainties of the fight ahead in God’s Word.
Spiritually soak, your heart and mind, so much in His truth that there is no room left for Satan to pronounce lies over you. Don’t even give Satan an inch. Because you are divinely and completely covered in spiritual armor from head to toe in this promise: God’s faithfulness and character will deliver you. Just like He did for the Israelites.
Spiritual Alignment precedes Spiritual Warfare. That’s the real truth the enemy doesn’t want you to know.
