🌿BREATHE TRUTH🌿
“This calf you worship, O Israel, was crafted by your own hands! It is not God! Therefore, it must be smashed to bits!” —Hosea 8:6-7
🌿LIVE THE REAL TRUTH🌿
History is written in the past, but its tendrils of fingers continue reaching out and reliving itself long after the past is dead. History has more lives than cats and beats like the everlasting battery, going and is gone into the future.
Like the fable of Jack and the Beanstalk. History is the giant beanstalk that grows taller with every generation and we are Jack, grappling with the immensity and enormity of the climb to overcome its stem of mistakes.

After the Israelites flee Egypt and cross the Red Sea, Moses leaves for Mt. Sinai to receive the Ten Commandments. While he is away for 40 days and 40 nights, the Israelites unveil the unthinkable: a golden calf gilded of gold.
This statue is similar to the god, Apis Bull, that the Egyptians, their former captors, revered. False fear that Moses is not returning spurs them to follow en route a false deity and set up a festive fiesta to honor it.
A reception to celebrate the inception of a deception.
A gold of old, a soul that’s sold.
A doorway to darkness is the deathly devotion of idols.

Fast forward in time to the first king of the northern kingdom, Jeroboam. He violently takes the kingship after Solomon’s son loses control during the revolt by the ten northern tribes. Then, Jeroboam unleashes the unthinkable: idol worship of the golden calves. Fearful that worship in Jerusalem in the southern kingdom will usurp his powers, Jeroboam creates a counterfeit counterpart to glorify instead.

History not only reiterates, but it reveals its immortality of wrongs. The practice of idol worship began by one generation reverberates to descending generations. God’s words urge us to stop generational idolatry by smashing it to pieces. Everyday application: Stop the recycling of history. No longer nurture or water the beanstalk of history. Stop it’s growth by a siege of starvation. Don’t respond to its hunger pleas. If you feed, you fuel. Halt the feeding of history. Smash it to a thousand pieces.

Idols are made by humans hands. History is also made by human hands. The maker and molder holds the power to create and crush. You make idols in your life. You mold the history that takes place in your life. Be empowered to smash your idols to bits and to mash past history to pieces. The choice tool to do the job: the cross of Jesus Christ. Jesus’ death and resurrection conquers all the idols that your history has ever chased after and cultivated.
🍃🍃🍃
If you don’t close the door to regenerated idols and repeated history, your children and their children’s children will dive through the door of darkness, see their souls up for sale, and celebrate revelry in idolatry.
Be a history breaker and idol basher. Break out of the cycle of leaning after worthless idols and break into the cycle of living for the Real Truth.
