🌿BREATHE TRUTH🌿
Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but He died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. —1 Peter 3:18
🌿LIVE THE REAL TRUTH🌿
Two brothers. One stakes his place at home with the father and diligently stays on the farm. The other brother sprints away and defiantly squanders the father’s money.

Warped window.
Known as the prodigal son, this son makes a warped decision to wander the world. This wayward traveler is enamored with the ways of the world through weak eyes and a wavering heart. He fantasizes fulfillment and freedom in the real world through a warped window. To him, the world is an epic venue. A wonderland, not a wasteland. He sees the fantastic, not the failings, the fabulous, not the foolishness, the fun, not the filth. Not until he loses all of his money and languishes in a pig pen does he understand truth.

Warped world.
Adventure appeals to us all, including the prodigal son. But the price is uber expensive. Be prepared for the punch in the gut. It will cost more than you expect, conflict more than you envision, and consume more than you want to expend. Even so, the dream of adventure sails on because it slakes our thirst for curiosity.
Curiosity in the right context doesn’t end in sin. But curiosity in a warped adventure in a warped world can lead to a deadly dead-end. Just ask the cat.

Warped way.
Can curiosity slay the cat? Curiosity whisking the wanderer down the wrong and warped alleyway, yes. Ultimately, it is the direction and destination chosen by the cat that torpedoes his life. On a similar road as the feline, we falter, flounder, and fall when we follow where curiosity unwisely unwinds—and the path is planets away from God.
Curiosity, like sin, has its origin in our mental and emotional compartments. It gathers its intel silently and grows ever so stealthily.
~Before the prodigal son packs his bags, his head is already curiously craving the thoughts of the world.
~Before the prodigal son places one step outside his house, his heart is already coveting the things of the world.
~Before the prodigal son parts from home, sin is already entering the doorway and establishing a foothold from the tendrils of the world.

Warped walk.
Is there a warped adventure you are curious about walking into? Is it outside the will of God? If so, tank those objectives and turn away. Disconnect your wandering and re-connect with God. Curiosity contrary to faith can cascade a fire to consume the course of your life’s truths, travels, and turns.
Should curiosity stray you farther and further from God, however, all is not lost. Curiosity counter to God’s character is costly, but it won’t cut you off from God. Grace is the bridge strung between the straying and the saving. Grace connects the sinner to the Savior to save and sanctify. Grace flows anew and grace forgives again.
~God is wanting you to come home. Grace loves to have you back.
~God is waiting for you to return. Grace longs to hasten you back.
~God is working on roads to guide you safely. Grace leads to help you back.
God has a plan with a better direction and a better destination. He sends His Son, Jesus Christ, to accompany your ride home. His arms are out-stretched and open wide to welcome you inside.
🍃🍃🍃
God sees where you’ve been
The past, present, and the in-between
No effort unseen
No endeavor unforeseen
Return to me, God says, and lean
Not on your understanding or the routine
But on my leading you back, forgiven and clean.
