Safe Faith

One of the greatest security that a child needs is a safe place.  No safer place exists than in the arms of a parent.  God, who created families, created this desire in us for a safe place.  A secure space to run to.  A safe faith.  Jesus.

If you are worn out, exhausted, under a heavy weight of burdens that overwhelm you physically, emotionally, and spiritually.  Come and find rest.  Jesus is a safe faith.

Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”  —Matthew 11:28.

If you are alone, feel helpless, and the light that keeps you going and staying afloat in the dark is fading away.  Come and find hope.

He will not crush the weakest reed or put out a flickering candle…”  —Matthew 12:20

When Peter was walking on the water, as long as his focus was on Jesus, he was fine.  Jesus was a safe faith.

But once Peter began to look around at the world around him, his surroundings of the wind and waves, its turbulency and fierceness.  Peter became afraid, lost his confidence, and made his fears bigger than his faith in Jesus.

The storms of life offers no safe haven to find shelter.  No safe harbor.  No secure refuge.

Seek instead a place to unload your weariness, find rest, and a fire that will keep your flickering light glowing. A safe faith in Jesus Christ.

Hold tightly to this safe thought:  Jesus gives us safe spaces to lay down our worries, burdens, and insecurities before Him.

Let Jesus be your safe faith.  Dwell in this Real Truth today.
