Freed To Be Free

🌿BREATHE TRUTH🌿

The Egyptians chased after them with all the forces in Pharaoh’s army—all his horses and chariots, his charioteers, and his troops.”  —Exodus 14:9

🌿LIVE THE REAL TRUTH🌿

After the Israelites leaves Egypt, Pharaoh takes “600 of Egypt’s best chariots, along with the rest of the chariots of Egypt, each with its commander.” (Exodus 14:7)  He gathers all the resources and reserves Egypt has to regain their runaway assets.

The Pursuit

When you try to be free, when you are finally free, the enemy will always call after you and chase you back to bondage.  The enemy will not release and relinquish without a fight.

Pharaoh utilizes maximum force of strength in his troops and treasury of weaponry.  To race and roar after the Israelites.  To retrieve and recoup them back to enslavement.

🍃

Captor mentality is ownership.  Ownership of the captive’s past, present, and future.  The Israelites were deemed as possessions not people.  Commodities to be bartered and bargained.

Captor mentality is lordship.   Lordship refers to supreme power and sovereign rule over a territory or individual.  Captives are under the authority and acquisition of their captors.  The Egyptians clinched control and custody over the Israelites.

🍃

Who or what is owning your life right now?  Are you being held captive by people psychologically and emotionally?  Are you stuck in a place in your life that owns you?  God sent His Son to purchase your freedom by dying on the cross for you.  You are no longer in bondage, bought out by a God who loves you that much.  You are freed to be free.

Who or what has control over you right now?  Is someone or something in a position of power over you?  Ephesians 4:5 declares, “There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, in all, and living through all.”  No one is entitled lordship over you except God the Father, who reigns as Lord of all.  Live emancipated every single day.  You are freed to be free.

The Panic

As Pharaoh approached, the people of Israel looked up and panicked when they saw the Egyptians overtake them.  (Exodus 14;10)

Chasing and charging at them are the Egyptians.  Choosing to trust God and His chosen leader, Moses, was a risk.  Upon sighting the epic Egyptian army with its cadre of chariots, God’s people fall for the lie they have made a mistake.  He is not going to deliver.  He has deserted them.

As they peer into the distance, all they see is a multitude of their enemies.  Where is God?  The “look.”  The look will discourage all.  Your resolve.  Your resolution.  Your reason to hold on.

The problem:  They were looking at their problem.  They weren’t looking at God.  With every advancing horses’ hooves and chariot wheel turn, their panic intensified and magnified.

The Passage

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me?  Tell the people to get moving!  Pick up your staff and raise your hand over the sea.  Divide the water so the Israelites can walk through.”  (Exodus 14:15-16)

God addresses more specifically the issue with their look:  You are focused on the problem and you are looking backwards.  Get moving!  Go forward!  When we look backwards, are eyes are blind to what’s ahead.  A world of difference exists between the backend and the front end.

I am making a way, don’t you see it?  A path to escape what’s behind you.  God’s passage never falters and never fails.

🍃🍃🍃

Don’t reject God’s promises for deliverance or the enemy will create a crevice of a foothold to own and lord over you.

Take the risk in trusting God to save and find a new route and passageway to living life.

The enemy pursues. You panic.  But God has a safe passage.  Hold on and hold out for God to accomplish miracles to set you free.  He will find a way.  He will find a better way.  No matter the enemy’s efforts to escalate the engagement, you are now freed to be free in the Real Truth.
