🌿BREATHE TRUTH🌿
His disciples said to Him, “Look at this crowd pressing around You. How can you ask, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”
But He kept on looking around to see who had done it. —Mark 5:31-32
🌿LIVE THE REAL TRUTH🌿
People relate and relish get-togethers. Mixing in comforting camaraderie. Mingling in casual conversation. Meshing in cool connections. But sometimes, an interruption takes place that plugs the party and stops the show.
Surrounded by a bustling mess, Jesus is attended by His disciples, accompanied by a crowd, and accosted by Jairus. Jairus, a synagogue leader, asks Jesus to save his dying daughter. So Jesus embarks to find her, followed by a throng of people. Then, an abrupt interruption occurs.

Jesus gets us.
Jesus: His unlimited divinity concludes someone has touched Him. He sees what we cannot. He identifies a need.
The Disciples: Their limited humanity clouds their spiritual lens. They struggle to see beyond the physical. They fail to identity this woman’s need.
The Crowd: They are mesmerized by the mood and momentum of the moment. Clustering around Jesus, they create an obstacle for the woman who is an obscurity to them.
Twelve years trapped in a bleeding illness and Jesus is her final hope. The preoccupied disciples and pressing crowd are blind to this woman as she gingerly handles the hem of Jesus’ cloak. But Jesus, being fully God and fully man, has an all-encompassing view of this woman and her incredible effort to reach Him. He knows her heart and why she is on the ground on her knees. So what is His response? He engages in honest conversation and endeavors a holy connection with her. He totally gets her.
•This woman needs a moment. Let’s move on. No.
•This woman needs a miracle. Let’s move on. No.
•This woman needs a mountain. Let’s move on. No.
Jesus does not downgrade, disregard, or displace her need. On the contrary, instead of minimizing her and moving on, Jesus ministers.

Jesus gets to us.
Jesus is on a mission to seek and save Jairus’ daughter. But the mission doesn’t come before the ministering. So when this dear woman interrupts the mission, Jesus is happy to heal. Grace > goals. In our hardest, Jesus gets to us with grace.
In Christ, no child of God is ever left behind. Jesus doesn’t move forward without taking us with Him.
In Christ, no child of God is ever left abandoned. Jesus doesn’t move forward and forgets us.
In Christ, no child of God is ever less significant. Jesus doesn’t move forward without imparting significance into our lives.
🍃🍃🍃
Jesus gets together with us.
When Jesus moves in us, He searches more than the physical, and salvages our need in the spiritual. When Jesus gets together with us, He prioritizes our presence. News of Jairus’ daughter doesn’t supersede this woman’s pleas on her knees. Jesus meets us where we are and moves mountains in our mess.
•For the woman who comes for help, Jesus comprehends her desperation with invitation.
•For Jairus who comes on behalf of his loved one, Jesus commits to the whole family with compassion.
•For all who come to Him, Jesus meets the crisis in our calamity with intercession.
🍃🍃🍃
Jesus sees.
Our pleas on our knees
In the hardest of our reality
He gifts a hem of matchless beauty
Come grasp the robe of His majesty
And anchor your soul to eternity
Jesus sees, oh how He sees.
