🌿Breathe Truth🌿
“The grass withers and the flower fades, but the word of our God shall stand forever.” —Isaiah 40:8
🌿Believe Truth🌿
A week and a half ago when we arrived in San Diego, it was very cold, raining, and wet. We drove by the flower fields of Carlsbad and no flowers had bloomed yet. Today, we passed by the flower fields and a different scenery greeted us.
Beautiful rows of flowers aglow, one after another. Colorful in its natural environment and radiantly pleasing to the eye. But the flower’s beauty fades with time. No life here on earth lasts.

My parents have been together a long time. But to my recollection, my father has never bought or given my mother any flowers. A better understanding of my dad goes back to his childhood. His father died when he was young. Leaving ten children and one widow.
My grandmother never remarried and devoted the remainder of her life to her children. At an early age, My father saw the brevity of life. Flowers fall. No matter how lovely. Flowers that are cut, share its beauty for only a little while, and then they fade. My father expressed this reason: he didn’t want to gift my mother something that would die.

Time changes. Life changes. But God doesn’t. The dichotomy of the temporal and the eternal. Understanding the difference determines whether you live for now or you live for something greater. And whether you give pieces of yourself away to the world or you give your heart to Jesus.

Is your heart spoken for? Covered by love divine, you are a child of the Risen One.

The cross is significant for the death, resurrection, and sacrifice of life by Jesus, God’s Son. But the cross also tenderly calls out to us that our hearts have been staked, claimed, and spoken for.
Everlasting to everlasting, the beauty of Jesus’ sacrifice of his life in exchange for our lives will never cease. The fragility of His life on earth to identify with us, petals seemingly frail, but supernaturally stronger than death could overcome.

When Jesus calls out, “This one is mine.” He means you.
Flowers that fade. We’re like those flowers in the field. Our life here is not a forever one. But in Jesus’ hands, when He breathes life into us, He imparts beauty and eternity into our lives that will never fade or end.
Is your heart spoken for? Bloom your heart out for the One who loves you the most. Jesus is coming for you. Bloom and give your heart to the Real Truth.
