🌿BREATHE TRUTH🌿
We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps. –Proverbs 16:9
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. —Psalm 91:1
🌿LIVE THE REAL TRUTH🌿
The year is 1873. A French cruise boat named Ville Du Havre is crossing the Atlantic Ocean to Europe from the United States with 313 passengers. Horatio Spafford, a lawyer and businessman, his wife, and their four daughters are expected to board. But a last minute business problem requires Mr. Spafford to stay behind.
New plans: Mrs. Spafford and the children go ahead while Mr. Spafford joins them on a different boat thereafter. Four days into the Atlantic Ocean, a powerful Scottish ship, the Loch Earn, crashes into the Spafford’s ship.
Twelve minutes after the collision, the Spafford’s boat sinks into the murky waters, taking 226 passengers with it including the four children. Mrs. Spafford, the family’s lone survivor, is taken to Cardiff, Wales where she telegrams to her husband this message: “Saved alone, what shall I do?”
How do we go on when our boat capsizes carrying what we treasure most?

Walk in the shadow of the Almighty.
Life involves an ebb and a flow. Like a river that continues to ripple in its course and trickle around the corners in every season….pass the springtime breeze, the summertime blooms, the autumn billows, and the winter bittersweet. Through the most gentle of springs and the most harsh of winters, the current flows on regardless of adversity and so must we.
God does not expect us to re-invent the wheel. He does not need us to recreate the paths we are to take. God has already gone before us in every single road and crossroad. All we have to do us chase His voice through the dark waters and and remember who the Commander of the seas is. Seek refuge to refuel so you can…..
Relinquish your loss.
Rest your heart.
Restore your spirit.
To sail from tragedy and trial, move forward in His shadow. Fold your feet into His footsteps. Follow in faith.
Shadows give us shelter to release, shade to rest, and shield to recover. A place to relieve our pain, regain our purpose, and reconnect with God. What God is calling us to do when we come to the end of ourselves: Walk in His shadow. Worship in His steps.

Worship in the shadow of the Almighty.
Life is filled with eruptions and interruptions. We can visualize how our life will look, but God determines our steps, including the ones we didn’t want to take. In the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, passing through where his children passed away, Mr. Spafford pens this hymn, “It Is Well With My Soul.”
“When sorrows like sea billows roll. Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say, it is well with my soul.”
In the midst of great loss, we can worship when our soul is weeping. Outside the shadow of God, sea billows rise to overwhelm us. Inside His shadow, a peace that surpasses understanding to bring us to our knees in praise. Even when storms shatter and scatter what we treasure most, our soul can still treasure the One who navigates us through the storm.

God is the Potter and we are His clay. He molds our life, and within our life choices, our life course. He charts the way and the weather, and He knows the worse that can happen in our voyage.
O Lord, You are our Father. We are the clay, and You are the potter. We all are formed by Your hand.” —Isaiah 64:8
As His children, we can fall securely into His hands if we collide into the unexpected. Let God move you like the wind. Set your coordinates heaven bound. Worship in His steps and move in the shadow of His Real Truth.
