🌿BREATHE TRUTH🌿
You must not have any other god but Me. —Exodus 20:3
🌿LIVE THE REAL TRUTH🌿
A significant part of our life is spent in interaction with people. How we handle people in our life depends on whether we hand over our life to God.
At some point in our life, some people may become challenging for us to handle. Knowing when to hand off these relationships to God can prevent us from making decisions that propel us to sin (the final six commandments).
Loving God well in the first four commandments is a consequence of building a right relationship with God. A right relationship with God will facilitate us to attend to people and contend with sin. If our life’s plan is to love, live, and learn in Christ…….to be purposely preoccupied with
~loving God
~living to love God
~learning to love God
as encouraged in the first four commandments, there will be less room left to conflict with people in the last six commandments.

The Ten Commandments function like a mirror.
The first four commands reflect where our worship is.
The final six commands reflect where our witness is.
Our witness is dependent on our worship of God. A cause and effect phenomenon occurs. If we desire to witness….the depth of our devotion to God can draw people towards God. On the flip side, the deficits of our devotion can distract people from God.
🍃
The Ten Commandments function like a model.
It outlines a sacred guideline for us to love, live, and learn about God as we go and grow in the grace of our salvation for our benefit and the blessing of others. We see in the first four:
1st: Is God first place or some place in our life?
2nd: Is an idol idolized above God in our life?
3rd: Is God’s holy name wholly respected?
4th: Is worship a priority or minority in our life?
🍃
When we live to love God well, we will be more effective in living with people. Bloom in your relationship with God and your relationships with others will also thrive.
Ultimately, the positioning of the Ten Commandments in our life will define what kind of character we want to cultivate in our worship of God and in our witness to others.

Give yourself room
To grow and bloom
To love God and people, and to consume
The things of God He is cultivating…to groom
The character He wants you to own and assume.
