🌿LIVE THE REAL TRUTH🌿
Traveling can bring about the best or bewildering in you. Sometimes, under the context of being away from home we forget the restraints we normally place upon ourselves. Bacon. So scrumptious one could eat it every day. Except if you come from a family of doctors, it’s not encouraged. As a child, I learned to refrain from consuming bacon. But during vacations, it’s a different story.
Last week, on our trip, we enjoyed a family breakfast every morning. One morning, the buffet line had closed, and I had finished my bacon serving. Then, I noticed my daughter’s plate on the nearby table with some bacon. (Not enough seats in one table so our family split up) She had already left. I casually stroll over and begin munching on her bacon. As I do, a new waiter is staring at me. Instantly, I realize what he is thinking: This woman is picking off food from a stranger’s plate.
In the light, our eyes see only one dimension. Our perception of what we visualize is limited. But we have a God of limitless vision who sees through, to and into the deepest parts of us to give us limitless light not limited because of a limited world. Our God is not a one dimensional God with limited ability, availability or capacity, capability.

The Word gave life to everything that was created.
God creates. God creates life. Nothing of life can be created without the handprint of God.
God creates life that moves His creation. God creates life that lights His creation. That’s why no one can move us nor light us the way God can.
The creator of life is the creator of light. That’s why the enemy cannot extinguish the light without eliminating the life.
The creator gives His creation the window to respond to Him or the will to withdraw from Him. This is the depth of His love. He creates us with the chance we will reject Him. Because truthful love isn’t forced. It’s given in freedom. In life, in the light, the Creator shines light into our life so we know the way back to love Him. The relationship of life in the light for the sake of love is a cord of three strands that cannot easily be broken if anchored on the Creator.

His life brought light to everyone.
We possess surface vision. We see people, places, and purposes with surface vision. That’s why we make mistakes about the character of people, the company of places, and the consideration of purposes we encounter and engage in. But God’s Light touches everything in our lives like the sun. When His light shines, we see the misperceptions and misconceptions that cause us to stumble and ultimately sin.
The new waiter who saw me eat my daughter’s bacon only saw a partial picture of truth. To him, it looked like I was scavenging food off of random people’s plates. In many ways, we have been in that waiter’s shoes. Our vision of truth, skewered by our experience. One dimension vision, one dimensional truth.
God sent His Son Jesus Christ to change this.

I am the way, the truth, and the life. —John 14:6
Jesus is the way to see the truth and the window to a new life in Christ. In Jesus, 20/20 vision is available for all who receive Him, to those who lay their life down before Him in search of a greater vision than the one their flesh offers. The light of Jesus Christ lights the way for us to see truth, and nothing but the truth.
We make mistakes because our vision is imperfect. But through the lens of salvation in Jesus Christ, a perfect vision of eternity lies ahead for us. Faultless, flawless, forever. His love, sent in the person of His Son on the cross, lights the way for us to have life with perfect eternal vision.
Love to sacrifice.
Life to surrender.
Light to see.
