🌿BREATHE TRUTH🌿
I will give you back what you lost to the swarming locusts, the hopping locusts, the stripping locusts, and the cutting locusts. —Joel 2:25
🌿LIVE THE REAL TRUTH🌿
If you take a flower and scatter its petals to the wind, you won’t get it back. If you take a shell and break it up in pieces into the ocean, you won’t get it back. If you pack a snowball and throw it over a mountain, you won’t get it back.
Life is like that flower, shell, and snowball. It’s fragile, breakable, and collapsible. Once it’s torn away, broken up, and fallen apart, we cannot retrieve it intact in its original form. Its essence and entirety is lost.

God has a reason for what we lose.
The swarming locusts intend to overload us. They come at us in every direction. They strategize to discourage and disillusion us. They are terrorists who desire to terrify and taunt. We may be surrounded, but God is the One surrounding us. “No weapon formed against you shall prosper.” (Isaiah 54:17). Fixate not on your enemy nor what they are scheming. Fix your gaze and grasp on God. God’s reason for us: God can use our loss to strengthen and make us stronger.
🍃
God has a role for us when we are in loss.
The hopping locusts intend to overburden us. They jump from spaces in our lives that are sacred to us to attack. Constantly moving, consistently maneuvering. They are tormenters who bait and bully. They strategize to distract and draw us from God. They taunt to keep us off-centered and off-balanced from His hand. Don’t follow their movement. Focus on God. God’s role for us: to stand firm and stay secure in Him.
🍃
God has a rebuilding for what we lose.
The stripping locusts intend to overwhelm us. They strip and and plunder, steal and pillage. They strategize to devastate and destroy. To raid and rob what God has given us. To tear and take what doesn’t belong to them. To come and consume what isn’t theirs. Simply put, they are thieves. Illegitimate gain and illicit gathering. But their achievement is temporary and their attainment is temporal. God will remain long after they are long gone. Find your hope in God. God’s rebuild for us: to start over in Him and see His Hand in our loss.
🍃
God has a recovery plan after our loss.
The cutting locusts intend to overcome us. They want to hurt us. God wants to heal us. They want us to suffer. God wants us to survive. They are terrorists who want to tear apart our wholeness. They strategize to assail and annihilate, to reap open and ransack what we treasure. The pain that they pierce is savage, severe, and searing. But God can transform and trade it in for something better. Follow God’s plan. God’s recovery for us: to seek our heart, settle us in a safe place, and stabilize the locusts’ destabilization.
🍃🍃🍃
No matter what damage the locusts have done in our lives, God is still God. He sees the flower, shell, and snow flakes. He sees us, and He knows what is happening and has happened to us. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross to overcome all the locusts that have attacked and assaulted us. Stand firm, stay secure, and settle in your safe place of Jesus Christ. The Real Truth will prevail.
There are things that we lose that we cannot understand, but we will remember.
There are things that we lose that we cannot get back, but we will recover.
There are things that we lose that deep devastate our lives, but we will rebuild.
