🌿BREATHE TRUTH🌿
“Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a sleeping mat. They tried to take him inside to Jesus, but they couldn’t reach Him because of the crowd. So they went up to the roof and took off some tiles.
Then they lowered the sick man on his mat down into the crowd, right in front of Jesus.” —Luke 5:28-19
🌿LIVE THE REAL TRUTH🌿
Crowds are everywhere staking out a spot. The line weaves in and out full of individuals wanting to hear Jesus. People clamor and camp out. They surge and search for actions and answers. They sprint and seek intercession for help and healing.
Lonely lives.
Dashed dreams.
Hurt hearts.
To come to Jesus requires a willingness to continue and carry on in the midst of tribulation, the milieu of trouble, and the muck of trials.

To get to Jesus means we set aside obstacles like people.
People foil and frustrate our planning to get to Jesus. People are surrounding the house, standing inside, and stranded outside. The friends of the paralyzed man struggle to reach Jesus.
Individuals in our lives can interrupt our attempts to reach Jesus. Not only can they inconvenience, but people can interfere and impede our pathway to closer fellowship with Jesus. Relationships that point our journey away from Jesus, prioritize worldly pleasures, and procure idols into our lives produce obstacles that need to be set aside.

To get to Jesus means we set aside obstructions like problems.
Problems deter and distract our availability to Jesus. The paralyzed man cannot walk. This is a mobility problem. Carrying him from his home to this location is a transportation problem. Arriving late and finding no room left is a scheduling problem. Problems can preclude and prevent progress.
Progress in our pursuit of God.
Progress in our passion for God.
Progress in our purpose in God.
Progress in our peace with God.
Persevere. Persist. Push onward. Partner upward. Minimize problems and shrink them down. Maximize Jesus and sweep Him higher. Position down problems. Position up your goals to grasp hold of Jesus. If you can’t move the obstructions, find alternative ways to move around them. The roof isn’t the limit.

To get to Jesus means we set aside occlusions like the past.
The past blocks and barricades our access to Jesus. There are things that took place in our past that will short circuit and stymie our present plans to move forward in our faith. The paralyzed man has a past history that resulted in his inability for mobility. But his friends didn’t let the man’s physical and spiritual impairments halt them.
Ever peer into a set of binocular lens? The faraway view is enlarged and brought closer for us to see.
Don’t go this route with your past. Leave the past where it is. Learn the lessons from the past. But don’t fixate or focus upon it. If you try to see Jesus with binoculars that magnify the past, you’ll miss the Jesus in front of you with a better future.

The paralyze man’s friends wanted to reach Jesus. They accomplished their goal because they persevered and placed their faith in Jesus to bring about a miracle. They went so far as to lift the tiles off the roof of the house to get to Jesus.
Reaching Jesus means taking the tiles off in our lives that curb and circumvent our access to Him.
What tiles are restraining you from gaining Jesus? What tiles are restricting you from going after the Real Truth with all your heart, mind, and soul?
Lift the tiles that thwart your opportunities to experience and engage with Jesus and run after the Real Truth today.
