Leave The Grave Behind

🌿BREATHE TRUTH🌿

The path of life leads upward for the wise; they leave the grave behind.  —Proverbs 15:24

🌿LIVE THE REAL TRUTH🌿

Summer winds sway to give way to feather-like falling leaves.  The crisp crunch of foliage covering the ground welcomes the powdery snow of a gazillion tiny flakes.  Shoots of crocuses and daffodils find its way above ground.  The meadows slowly stir to life as spring waves her warm breezes once more, anticipating summer’s annual arrival.

The seasons give us shimmering summers, amber autumns, whispering winters, soft-spoken spring, and then the cycle begins all over again.  Distinctive in attributes, diverse in action, dramatic in attention.  A give and a take occur so that new forms of life abound whether the sunlight is deepening or dispersing.

The path of life leads upward for the wise.

Life contains movement and motion.  Seasons transfer some of its life giving entities to the next season.  Spring brings out tender beginnings of life.  Summer harvests its fruits.  Fall finds its seeds that fall to the ground.  Some of those seeds wait til the cold has passed to spring to maturity.  The path of life is in a constant flux of moving onward and upward.   Dying plants remain inherently static.  But thriving plants push through the dirt and debris of life, looking above and ahead.  Dead faith gets stuck in a pit.  But a thriving faith leans away from what’s behind and leaps up towards a greater goal.

They leave the grave behind.

Life consists of convergents and changes.  A convergent of the recent into the present.  Each season entails transitions where one season melts into the next, losing its old identity to gain a new one.  A loss for a gain.  A change not by chance but by Christ.  In our path of life, there are things we need to lose to leave the grave.

People we accumulated and cultivated relationships with that hindered our history with God.

Places we strayed and stayed that hurt our history with God.

Priorities we close and chose that haltered our history with God.

When these people, places, and priorities become non-life giving, we have to release and leave them behind.

🍃🍃🍃

Each season bargains back and forth, debating what to keep and what to let go.  Interests juggle and struggle to be chosen.  A loss now so that something lasting can be obtained later.  Our path of life traverses a journey similar to the seasons.  A life that moves forward has to leave behind the things that keep us in the grave.  No growth occurs in the grave or graveyard.  If you are shackled to the grave, it’s time to get out.

Loosen the hold that corners and confines.

Liberate the handle that encloses and enchains.

Let go the heart that clings and clutches.

The Real Truth wants more for you than what the graveyard offers.   Release yourself from the grave and rise up to the Real Truth.
