In line while waiting for a ride at the amusement park. I met a fellow homeschooling mom from Washington state. Her husband was waiting outside with the baby. She was in line with 5 kids. We exchanged curriculum ideas, discussed challenges, and shared how we came about homeschooling. She used to work in a school district in the middle schools. During her time there, she came to the conclusion she would homeschool when she had kids. Then we prayed together for our children.
Out of hundreds of families in the park, God put two homeschooling families next in line together.

This year, the logistics of homeschooling changed for us with teaching 4 kids for the first time. More challenging and honestly, harder. Teaching 1 or 2 or 3 kids was fine. But with 4, major changes had to be incorporated into our learning schedule.
Back home, I had known several moms in large families who had stopped homeschooling when their kids reached approximately 4th grade. It just gets rougher with more kids. The moms I knew who continued homeschooling tended to have only 1 or 2 kids. Yesterday, I needed to meet Kristin and see another homeschooling mom (with lots of kids) still in the trenches.
Our God is a God of details.

“What is the price of five sparrows—two copper coins? Yet God does not forget a single one of them.
And the very hairs on your head are numbered.
So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.” —Luke 12:6-7
Sparrows were common birds during Jesus’ times. They were eaten as food and sold cheaply. Inexpensive and inferior to their counterparts at the market place. Yet despite their lesser value in the eyes of the world, Jesus has His eyes on them.
If God cares for the sparrows of such small value, how much more concern does God have for you.

God knows and cares about all the details of your life. He knows your coming and going, and what is important to you.
You mean more to God than a flock of sparrows. You mean so much to God that He sent His Son to die on the cross for you.

God knows the flight of the sparrows. God knows each step you take. Walk in the knowledge and Real Truth that you are highly valued every day of your life.
