God closes doors in our lives because His course for our lives changes.
Treasures. We are all seekers of treasures. Of things and relationships valuable in our lives. That add value, encouragement, and is life-giving in our lives. That bring meaning and confers worth into our lives. Treasures we would love and die for.
But sometimes something we impart and think of as a treasure in our life wasn’t really a real treasure, but a fake gem. It looked like the real thing, felt like the real thing, but it wasn’t the real thing.
That’s when God closes doors. So that whatever door Satan had mislead us to and we thought was real treasure, but it was a counterfeit. God redirects.
Because real treasure doesn’t deliberately seek to hurt you, to deceive you, to lie to you. Real treasure reflects the goodness of Christ, treats you with respect, endeavors to protect, wants to cherish, and is faithful.
In Matthew 13:44-46, Jesus describes a picture about treasure.
“The Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls. When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it.”
Maybe you had placed your hope and heart in a treasure. You wanted so much to have that treasure be a part of your life. Then it turns out to be fake. What do you do?
You let God be God. Let God take you on a journey with Him for choice pearls. For the real precious gems.
Let go of what you thought a treasure would look like, be like, feel like.
The greatest treasure. The best treasure. Jesus Christ. Seek Him. Release your hope on that fake treasure. Take hold of the real thing. Relish the Real Treasure.
Let God close doors on the fake treasures of your life, that wound, deceive, and is empheral. Let God open the door to the greatest Treasure of all Treasures, that heals, loves, and is everlasting.
