🌿BREATHE TRUTH🌿
“O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.
You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do.” —Psalm 139:1-3
🌿LIVE THE REAL TRUTH🌿
Ever since God gave Eve to Adam, the first longing to belong and to be known by another appears in history. But it is only God, the One who created and crafted us who can fulfill this intrinsic desire inside of us that is unseen and unrevealed: the need to connect to something greater on the deepest level in our soul and to feel complete in that connection.

O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me.
God is safe. God is a safe place. God provides safety when the rest of the world and many things in our lives may not be safe. God is a safe harbor to open our heart to, and be translucent and transparent with. He scrutinizes and surveys our innermost ideas. He sifts and sees every intimate detail of our outermost parts. The good and gracious aspects of our life. The ugly and undesirable features. The saint-like and sin-ful moments. All of this is in open view of God, and yet His heart remains committed to know everything about us and to make Himself known to us.

God knows us comprehensively, consummately, and completely.
God knows us extensively, entirely, and exhaustively.
God knows us in-depth, individually, and inclusively.
God knows us far-reachingly, fully, and familiarly.
This is the greatest paradox ever: the majestic God of the universe, galaxy, and earth perceives every minuscule strand of hair a-growing outside and every single minute thought a-floating inside our head.

You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.
God is secure. God is a secure place. God secures our coming and going, lying and leaving. His arms reach out and keeps us secure even when all that surrounds us and many things in our soul feels not secure. He secures our macro movements and our micro musings. Our action and activity and our rumination and reflection is guarded under His domain. Before our thoughts are fully formed and organically organized in a concerted, coherent manner, God already knows its contents. God is that good. Every piece of our physical life sitting and standing, and each packet of our cognitive life considering and contemplating is secure in God.

God sees our readying, raising, and rising.
God sees our intention, inclination, and introspection.
God sees our anticipation, ambition, and aspiration.
God sees our location, locomotion, and limitation.
All that we do and don’t do, think and don’t think, is in full view of His eyes. We are never far from God. We are never out of His reach.

We all want to be connected and feel complete. All the puzzle pieces intact. The glass filled and full. The idea that the God who shaped our world into being chooses us, carries us, and cares about us makes our life even more significant, sufficient, and special. God knows us because His hands also carved our lives.
The hand that moves the oceans and wind is the same hand that moves our soul and melts our heart.
God alone knows us and He wants us to move towards Him. Move closer to the Real Truth today as you greet this morning’s sunrise.
